About The Role

We have an exciting role available at our DC in Tullamarine for an experienced Leading Hand to join our inventory team. The primary focus of this role will be to lead a small team in accordance with daily instructions, ensuring efficiency and promoting a safe, supportive work culture. You will promote open communication and implement ideas for process improvement in line with company policies and values. Working hours are 7.30am to 3.30pm.

Reporting to the DC Team Leader, Inventory your day to day will include:

Lead and adhere to Work Health and Safety standards
Train, coach and mentor your team to achieve kpis and best in class practices ensuring correct use of voice pick, the wms system and rf scanning equipment
Ensure tasks are picked and confirmed within agreed timeframes, reporting daily exceptions to the Warehouse Management team
Ensure accurate QA reporting and despatch of orders
Cleanse orders within the current warehouse management system; WMS-MLS.
Ensure your team restock pick faces, and maintain inventory levels within SAP/MLS
Oversee the loading and unloading of freight as required
Ensure the warehouse is kept in a clean, tidy & safe condition

About YOU

You will have a proven background in a similar Leading Hand role within a fast-paced DC environment and the following skills/attributes:

Commitment to lead safety
Experiencing of working with a warehouse management system( SAP preferably)
Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads
Strong attention to detail
Fast and responsive – working to strict deadlines
Team Player – maintain close working relationships with all other employees
Results and achievement are completed to high standards
Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment
Forklift Licence (desired, but not essential)
Previous experience of Voice Pick or RF equipment use
Intermediate level PC admin/input
