Full Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Despatch Officer to join the Warehouse team. This role is critical to ensure the smooth coordination of transport, accurate shipment processing, and effective pallet management across operations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Shipments & Transport Coordination

Organise delivery advice and manage daily shipment completion
Raise pallet dockets and create transport manifests
Liaise closely with Customer Service to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
Manage transport enquiries, delivery bookings, and follow-ups
Act as the initial escalation point for transport-related issues

2. Allocations & Transport Scheduling

Coordinate and organise transport with external vendors
Provide forklift drivers with accurate paperwork for picking and loading
Ensure efficient scheduling to meet delivery timeframes

3. Pallet Control

Manage pallet ordering and inventory levels
Investigate pallet discrepancies, rejections, and consolidations
Maintain accurate pallet records and resolve related issues

4. Administrative & Ad Hoc Duties

General filing and documentation management
Train staff on despatch procedures and processes
Support continuous improvement of operational practices

About You

Proven experience in despatch and logistics (essential)
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Sound communication, literacy and numeracy skills
High attention to detail and problem-solving capability
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
