The Opportunity

Working closely with operational, maintenance, finance, and procurement stakeholders, you will play a critical role in developing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and delivering value through effective procurement and contract management practices.

Reporting to the Manager Procurement - Mining Equipment, you will:

Develop and implement category strategies for mining equipment across the business.
Lead strategic sourcing activities including RFQs, supplier evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
Manage key supplier agreements, including contract performance, KPI reporting, quarterly business reviews, and dispute resolution.
Conduct market analysis and maintain category intelligence to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends.
Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with operational requirements.
Analyse spend data and maintain category documentation, supplier profiles, and procurement records.
Support cost optimisation, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Present category performance insights and sourcing recommendations to key stakeholders and senior leaders.
Provide procurement guidance and support to internal customers across the business.

About You

You are a commercially minded procurement professional who enjoys building strong supplier partnerships and delivering tangible business outcomes. You bring a strategic mindset, strong analytical capability, and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

To be successful, you will possess:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in strategic procurement, category management, or sourcing.
Experience working within mining, heavy industry, engineering, or asset-intensive environments.
Strong understanding of mining equipment markets and supplier networks.
Demonstrated negotiation and contract management experience.
Proven ability to analyse data and translate insights into strategic sourcing decisions.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing competing priorities.
