Lead Strategic Procurement. Deliver Value. Shape the Future.
Santos is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Procurement Manager– Midstream Operations & CCS to lead procurement strategy and execution across a complex portfolio. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving value, managing risk, strengthening supplier partnerships, and supporting the delivery of Santos' Midstream Operations &CCS business objectives.
What You'll Do
You will lead a high-performing team and work closely with stakeholders across the business to develop innovative supply chain solutions that improve resilience, competitiveness, and operational performance.
- Lead and develop a team of procurement category leads and analysts shaping how we source goods and services across the Midstream asset portfolio.
- Work shoulder-to-shoulder with operational and functional leaders to translate business needs into sharp procurement and supply chain strategies — then deliver them.
- Collaborate across the Midstream and Upstream divisions and function to deliver category plans and sourcing strategies that achieve the lowest total cost outcomes.
- Drive end-to-end procurement activities, including strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance management.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations and deliver value through effective supplier engagement and contracting strategies.
- Ensure contracts are effectively administered, including contract value management, term extensions, guarantees, variations, and claims.
- Champion procurement governance, standards, and compliance across the portfolio.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across procurement processes, systems, and technologies.
- Foster a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, governance, and Santos Management System requirements.
What You'll Bring
You're a commercially sharp, energetic procurement leader who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments. You bring:
- Extensive experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, and supply chain leadership within the energy, resources, infrastructure, or related industries.
- A proven track record managing large, high-value procurement portfolios and delivering measurable commercial outcomes
- Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering value through sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Experience building and developing high-performing teams - you invest in people and it shows
- A passion for transformation — you've driven procurement improvement programs and you're always looking for the next opportunity to innovate
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to balance today's operational demands with tomorrow's strategic priorities
- A commitment to safety, sustainability, ethical procurement practices, and company values.
- Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
