Are you a commercially savvy professional who thrives at the intersection of contracts, negotiation, and business strategy? We’re looking for a Manager Commercial Contracts to play a key role in supporting our business and strengthening our commercial operations across the APA Market Area.
In this pivotal role, you will partner with Sales, Proposals, Procurement, Legal, Business Line and other internal teams to support customer negotiations, manage commercial risk, and ensure our commercial governance standards are upheld. You’ll also take ownership of our framework agreements and maintain a robust contract database that enables quick, efficient access for internal stakeholders.

Due to the operational requirements of this position the successful candidate will be located in Perth or Brisbane.

What You’ll Do
Provide commercial guidance for customer contract negotiations across the business.
Review contract terms to ensure alignment with Metso must haves, risk thresholds, and approval processes.
Support contract administration, dispute management, and customer claim resolution.
Partner with Legal to resolve contract issues and ensure compliance.
Act as the commercial contact for Sales, Field Service, Proposals, Procurement, Legal, and Business Line teams.
Support proposals with commercial input, risk identification, and pricing/commercial model alignment.
Own and manage customer Framework Agreements, including revisions, renewals, amendments, and coverage growth.
Maintain a centralised, accurate contract database and registry, ensuring timely data entry, supporting the shift to digital contract management tools, and reporting contract insights to stakeholders.
Monitor commercial risks, support audits, and give early warning to protect strategic and financial outcomes.
What You will need to succeed
Minimum 8 years’ experience in legal, commercial contracts, contract administration, or proposals is strongly preferred.
Formal Qualifications in Business, Law, Commerce, or a related field.
Works well in matrix organisation and able to work under pressure and manage challenging negotiations and tight timelines
Strong understanding of contractual terms, commercial risk, and negotiation principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
High attention to detail with strong organisational capabilities.
Ability to balance Metso requirements with client needs while maintaining compliance.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
