Client Service Officer

Locations - opportunities available across the following Hurstville, Maroubra, Ashfield & Miranda.
Ongoing and Temporary opportunities with a talent pool available for up to 18 months!
Salary range $82,533 - $95,482 pa plus superannuation, leave loading and many other benefits!

Your role

Being at the public forefront of the housing team, this role will require you to work directly with clients and their advocates to provide advice and assistance on housing options. You will provide critical services and quality advice to clients including those with complex support needs.

With a strong client focus and a commitment to culturally sensitive customer service, this role will require someone who is passionate about making a difference and delivering innovative solutions for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.

This role needs someone who is flexible and willing to work at times that support engagement with those in need.

What you’ll do

The Client Service Officer will work directly with a range of support services and clients in an outreach capacity. This may be done in either the community, or in homes in order to deliver a range of housing assistance options that are tailored to meet the needs of our clients.

There are two teams the Client Service Officer within

Our Access & Demand Team:
Rostered shifts working with clients at the counter or over the phone
Processing and assessment of applications and enquiries using relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
Working collaboratively in a team environment to achieve key performance indicators (KPI’s), with shared goal setting, open communication and coordinated efforts to ensure positive housing outcomes for clients.
Using a range of technologies including various online communication tools and programs.
Engagement and support of outreach services in local communities and homelessness initiatives for joint housing resolution.

Our Tenancy Team:
Visiting Tenants in their homes on a regular scheduled basis
Rostered shifts working with clients at the counter or over the phone
Processing and assessment of applications and enquiries using relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
Working collaboratively in a team environment to achieve the team’s key performance indicators (KPI’s) to ensure sustainable tenancies.
Using a range of technologies including IPAD, online phone system and online forms

Please note, if successful the team and location you will be offered depends on business needs and team and location may rotate throughout your career. Tailored training and ongoing support is provided.

What we’re looking for

The essential requirements of the role include:
Possession of a current minimum Provisional 2 NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel to and work with clients in their home and in the community (a corporate vehicle will be provided for travel during work hours)

In addition to the essential requirements, to be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

Confidence to visit homes with differing people, personalities and in some cases pets
A resilient yet empathetic personality
Ability to work independently and manage your own work. Including working both independently and within a team environment
Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
A commitment to a culture of teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement

A strong commitment to customer service
