About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for standardising training requirements, providing a clear and centralised framework for managing both mandatory and non-mandatory training. This includes the recording, reporting, tracking, and monitoring of training activities—ensuring a consistent and streamlined approach across the organisation.

Classification: Band 8 Commencing at $125, 701 pa plus super

Key responsibilities include:

Develop and manage the City's training and compliance processes to ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Establish and maintain policies and procedures that standardise training, clarify accountability, and support organisation-wide compliance.
Identify current and future compliance training needs in collaboration with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and regulatory bodies.
Oversee the implementation of Key Performance Indicators and monitor compliance performance at both organisational and service levels.
Optimise the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) as a central platform for recording, tracking, and reporting training compliance.
Create and deliver compliance reports, and actively promote training opportunities across the organisation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with people leaders, stakeholders, and external bodies to support capability development and training outcomes

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a Post graduate degree in Human Resources Management, Education or relevant discipline, or significant or extensive specialist experience.

Essential Experience:

Proven experience managing organisational training compliance, including the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), and the development of related policies and procedures.
Skilled in conducting training needs analyses and developing training plans.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience preparing reports and presenting to senior leadership.
Ability to interpret and apply policy and legislation in operational and practical contexts.
Self-motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to implementing solutions.
Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems.

Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
