1.0 The Employee is employed as a Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager within the Employer’s rigid plastic packaging business.
1.1 The Employee’s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1.2.1 Managing the organisation's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Management Systems to ensure ongoing compliance with legislative, regulatory, customer and organisational requirements.
1.2.2 Developing, implementing and continuously improving quality assurance, compliance, health, safety and environmental policies, procedures, standards and management systems.
1.2.3 Ensuring compliance with applicable Australian legislation, industry standards and management system requirements, including quality, workplace health and safety, environmental and regulatory obligations.
1.2.4 Leading the planning, coordination and execution of internal audits, supplier audits, customer audits, certification audits and regulatory inspections.
1.2.5 Monitoring organisational compliance through routine inspections, audits, performance reviews and data analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions where required.
1.2.6 Managing non-conformance, incident and customer complaint investigations by conducting root cause analysis and overseeing the implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions.
1.2.7 Establishing, monitoring and reporting on quality, safety, environmental and compliance objectives, key performance indicators and organisational performance measures.
1.2.8 Overseeing document control systems to ensure all quality and compliance documentation is current, accurate and maintained in accordance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
1.2.9 Managing supplier quality assurance programs, including supplier evaluations, performance monitoring, compliance assessments and corrective action processes.
1.2.10 Coordinating organisational risk assessments relating to product quality, workplace health and safety, environmental impacts and operational processes, and ensuring effective risk controls are implemented.
1.2.11 Monitoring manufacturing processes to ensure products consistently meet customer specifications, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
1.2.12 Leading continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, operational efficiency, workplace safety, environmental performance and overall business performance.
1.2.13 Managing employee training and competency programs relating to quality management, regulatory compliance, workplace health and safety, environmental management and organisational procedures.
1.2.14 Providing technical advice and guidance to management and operational teams on quality assurance, compliance obligations, risk management and best practice.
1.2.15 Preparing and presenting management reports on quality performance, audit outcomes, compliance status, customer satisfaction, workplace health and safety performance, environmental performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
1.2.16 Liaising with customers, suppliers, contractors, certification bodies and regulatory authorities to ensure effective communication and compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.
1.2.17 Supervising and developing quality personnel by setting performance objectives, providing coaching, conducting performance reviews and promoting a culture of quality, compliance and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
1.2.18 The Employee must work collaboratively with team members across all departments, including production, IML label inventory, and other non-QA roles, as reasonably required to achieve operational and quality objectives.
1.2.19 The Employee agrees to perform all duties in a diligent, competent, and professional manner and to follow all lawful and reasonable directions of the Employer.
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
