Customer Service Representative
SNSW Clerk Grade 3/4 - starting annual salary $74,118 plus superannuation and leave loading

Location: Richmond Service Centre

Employment Type: Ongoing Part-Time 20 hours per week
Flexibility is essential, as this role operates across a six-day roster, including every second Saturday. Minimum shift duration is 4 hours.

We are currently recruiting for our teams at Richmond Service Centre, with exciting opportunities for Customer Service Representatives.

Please note: This recruitment will only be used to fill roles or create a talent pool for this specific location and immediate surrounding area.

Your Impact
As the first point of contact in our Service Centres, you will help customers feel supported, informed and confident using our services. Your friendly approach, patience, and ability to explain things simply will shape every customer’s experience.

You’ll work closely with your team to keep things running smoothly, create a welcoming environment, and handle complaints or complex enquiries with care and accuracy.

Your professionalism and commitment to great service will help build trust in our centres and encourage more customers to use our digital services.

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently

Resilience to work in a fast paced environment while staying calm and solutions focused

A positive approach to teamwork and a willingness to support others

Good attention to detail, especially when managing complex or sensitive enquiries

Confidence using computers and navigating multiple systems

An understanding of how to handle personal and confidential information responsibly

Operating hours:

In our Service Centres hours vary between locations. You can check the opening hours for each Service Centre here. Flexibility is required to work on a rotating roster between the Service Centre’s operational hours which may include Saturdays.

The Service NSW Award hours are 6:30am – 7:30pm (Monday to Friday) and 7:30am - 3:30pm (Saturdays). In some situations, you may be required to work during these hours.

Part-time – minimum 40 hours per fortnight- (Monday to Friday)
Full-time – 70 hours per fortnight

Hours are also subject to change based on the needs of the business.

Service NSW uses multi-staged recruitment methods based on merit principles for comparative assessment in accordance with the Government Sector Employment Act 2013.
