This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large, essential service that plays a critical role in supporting patient, staff and visitor safety across a dynamic and complex healthcare environment.

As Security Manager, you will work closely with executive leaders, clinical teams and corporate service partners to deliver responsive, compliant and future-focused security services.
Lead security services across Westmead Hospital and affiliated community health centres
Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical and corporate teams across a major tertiary hospital

What you'll be doing
As the Security Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of effective, efficient and compliant security services that support exceptional healthcare outcomes.

Lead and manage day-to-day security operations, ensuring services effectively support clinical care delivery
Develop and implement security strategies, operational plans and service improvements aligned with organisational priorities
Oversee budgets, workforce planning, rostering and resource allocation to ensure efficient service delivery and achievement of performance targets
Coach, develop and performance manage staff, fostering a high-performing and customer-focused security team
Drive compliance, accreditation and quality improvement initiatives while leveraging technology and innovation to enhance service outcomes

Essential Criteria

License: 1A and 1C licence under the NSW Security Industry Act 1997 and a current drivers licence within Australia with a proven excellent driving record.

Selection Criteria

Demonstrated superior leadership and team management skills, particularly in managing staff and resources, to ensure provision of a high quality focused customer service.
Ability to present a credible and authoritative image to internal and external stakeholders.
Extensive experience in managing security issues within a complex organisation and strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing and motivational skills which demonstrate a capacity to build and maintain relationships with a diverse stakeholder group.
Demonstrated ability to manage the development and monitoring of systems to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with WH&S obligations and a commitment and capacity to implement, and provide leadership in government policies and practices, including EEO, cultural diversity, ethical practice and continuous improvement.
Proven ability to analyse and interpret complex business issues and prepare appropriate responses and recommendations.
Demonstrated high-level time-management skills and capacity to deliver high quality business correspondence and responses within agreed timeframes
Demonstrated proficiency in computer based security software including, CCTV monitoring & recording, Microsoft Office
