Permanent, Full-time (38 hours per week)

Location: Sunnybank QLD 4109

Seoul Bistro is a well-established Korean restaurant located in Sunnybank, Queensland, serving the Brisbane community since 2013. The restaurant is renowned for its famous chicken wings, all-you-can-eat wings buffet, and a menu featuring Japanese and Korean-inspired cuisine. Using fresh local ingredients, Seoul Bistro offers lunch and dinner seven days a week, delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service in a busy and welcoming dining environment.

Due to its busy operations and growing customer demand, Seoul Bistro is seeking a qualified Cook to join its kitchen team.

Responsibilities:

Prepares, seasons, and cooks a variety of Korean dishes while maintaining food quality, food safety standards, and the efficient operation of the restaurant kitchen.

Duties:

Prepares and cooks Korean menu items in accordance with recipes and restaurant standards.
Seasons, portions, and presents food to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
Monitors the quality of dishes during preparation and cooking.
Stores and handles food ingredients in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Cleans and maintains kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen.
Monitors stock levels and assist with ordering and receiving food supplies.
Checks the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
Assists with planning daily food preparation and coordinating kitchen activities during busy service periods.
Works closely with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Complies with workplace health and safety policies and food handling regulations.

Qualifications:

AQF Certificate III or equivalent qualification, including at least two years of on-the-job training; or
AQF Certificate IV

Experience:

Minimum of three years’ experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.

Skills and Attributes:

Ability to prepare and cook food to a high standard.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Good time management and organisational skills.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
