We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator to join our small Head Office team and help grow our brand, engage our customers and support the continued growth of the business.
Job Overview
This is a hands-on role within a small team, supporting a broad range of marketing activities across digital, social, email, print and bowls events.
The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with sales, retail, production and distribution teams, as well as external suppliers and partners, to ensure marketing activity supports business priorities and product launches.
The ideal candidate will be creative, organised and commercially minded, with strong communication skills and an interest in sport. They will be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, taking initiative and using modern marketing, AI and productivity tools to work efficiently and creatively.
A genuine willingness to learn about lawn bowls is essential. Existing knowledge is an advantage, but we are equally interested in someone who is curious and enthusiastic about developing a strong understanding of the game, its players, clubs, events and wider community.
Key ResponsibilitiesCampaigns & Content
- Assist with planning and executing marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, print and bowls channels.
- Create and coordinate content for social media, email, website and promotional materials.
- Develop and adapt marketing assets using Canva and/or Adobe Suite, or other relevant tools.
- Maintain brand consistency across all communications.
- Manage social media content calendars, publishing and community engagement.
- Monitor performance and use insights to improve content and campaigns.
AI & Marketing Technology
- Use AI and emerging marketing technologies to support content creation, research, ideation and workflow efficiency.
- Apply sound judgement and human oversight to review, fact-check, edit and refine AI-generated content.
- Stay up to date with useful marketing and productivity tools and identify practical ways they can improve the team’s effectiveness.
Digital & Paid Marketing
- Coordinate email marketing campaigns for different audiences, including bowls retailers and the wider bowls community.
- Support website content and ongoing digital activity.
- Assist with paid social media campaigns, including monitoring budgets, performance and results.
- Use available data and platform insights to make recommendations and improve return on investment.
Bowls Events & Content
- Attend lawn bowls tournaments, competitions, club events and other relevant industry events as a Henselite representative.
- Capture engaging photo and video content for social media, website, email and other marketing channels.
- Identify stories, personalities, product opportunities and content moments that bring the Henselite brand to life.
- Build relationships with bowlers, clubs, retailers, ambassadors and the wider bowls community.
- Develop an understanding of the bowls calendar and opportunities for Henselite to maximise its presence at key events.
- Some travel throughout Victoria and interstate will be required.
Marketing Materials & Suppliers
- Coordinate the creation, production and distribution of marketing collateral including catalogues, flyers, point-of-sale materials, signage and promotional assets.
- Liaise with external suppliers and printers regarding product packaging, signage, printed materials and other marketing requirements, ensuring projects are delivered accurately, on time and within budget.
- Create or adapt materials using Canva and ensure all collateral aligns with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
- Research, Administration & Collaboration
- Research industry trends, competitor activity, customer behaviour and relevant market developments.
- Work closely with sales, retail, production and distribution teams to support company goals and product launches.
- Maintain marketing files, content calendars, campaign information and supplier details.
- Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing and other marketing administration as required.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management or a related field or equivalent practical marketing experience.
- 1–2 years’ experience in marketing, preferably within sport, lifestyle, retail or consumer products.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
- Experience with email marketing, digital marketing and content management.
- Confident using Canva to create and adapt marketing materials.
- Comfortable using AI tools and modern marketing technology, with the ability to critically assess and refine AI-generated outputs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and an eye for design.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Canva. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
- Comfortable learning new digital, marketing and productivity tools.
- Able to work independently, take initiative and follow projects through to completion.
- Genuine interest in lawn bowls and willingness to develop a strong knowledge of the sport, its participants, clubs, events and community.
- Willingness and ability to travel within Victoria and interstate.

We’re looking for someone who is curious, capable and hands-on, someone who enjoys getting things done and is comfortable being involved across many different aspects of marketing.
As part of a small Head Office team, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real contribution and see your work have a direct impact on the Henselite brand. You’ll need to be comfortable taking ownership, solving problems, working with different people and pitching in wherever needed.
You don’t need to know every marketing platform or tool, but you should be confident with technology, willing to learn and able to use tools such as Canva and AI to work smarter, while applying good judgement and appropriate oversight.
You also don’t need to be a lifelong lawn bowler. What matters is that you are genuinely interested in learning the sport and becoming part of its community. Understanding the game, its people and its culture will be important in creating authentic content and representing the Henselite brand.
Most importantly, you’ll bring energy, initiative, good judgement and attention to detail, along with a willingness to get involved and make things happen.
