About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will assist participants in maintaining independence, building daily living skills, and achieving personal goals in a safe and supportive environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting personal care routines such as hygiene and grooming
Assisting with daily living activities in participant homes
Facilitating community participation including appointments and social activities
Implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies (PBSP
Preparing meals and supporting safe eating practices
Providing medication assistance as directed in care plans
Encouraging routine, skill development, and independence

Key Responsibilities:

Provide person-centred support aligned with individual goals
Promote independence and confidence through structured routines
Deliver personal care and daily living assistance
Follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans where required
Complete accurate progress notes and documentation
Adherent to compliance, safety, and organisational procedures
Communicate effectively with coordinators and team members

Availability Expectations:

Flexibility across various shift types (day, evening, active overnight)
Ability to travel between participant locations when required
Reliable and consistent approach to scheduled shifts
Professional communication and proactive work ethic

Mandatory Requirements:

NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
NDIS Worker Orientation Module
NDIS Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals Module
Current First Aid & CPR Certification
Medication competency or willingness to obtain
Valid driver’s licence and access to an insured vehicle
