About the role:
Join the Pine Rivers Administration Team to provide high-level administrative support that helps our clinicians deliver exceptional patient care. You'll be the first point of contact for patients and staff, coordinating admissions and ensuring every interaction reflects Healthscope’s Values – We Care; We’re a team; We Strive; We do.
The successful candidate will be flexible to work a variety of shifts- Monday - Friday: Open Shift - 7:25 am to 14:30pm & Close Shift - 12:30pm to 8:00 pm working an open or close shift on a rostered basis & Saturday to Sunday - 10:00am to 4:00 pm with one weekend shift per month.
About Us:
Located on the bank of the South Pine River in Strathpine, our 70-bed mental health facility provides comprehensive inpatient and day programs for our Queensland community. As a leading provider, we specialise in addiction, bipolar and depressive disorders, mood disorders, OCD, PTSD and complex PTSD management, psychosis and chronic pain management. We also deliver specialised therapies in EMDR, TMS, Esketamine and ECT.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Managing patient admissions
Delivering excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and via email
General reception duties
Performing Health Fund Checks / Medicare DVA as required
Managing the collection of excesses /co-payments
Maintaining accurate patient records and performing billing or reporting functions as required
Prioritising tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced clinical environment
Supporting our team by identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery.
Essential Criteria:
Proven administrative experience in a busy, customer-focused environment
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong computer literacy and high data accuracy across multiple systems
Sound organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
A positive, respectful approach when working with diverse teams and clients
Ability to work as a team and autonomously
Demonstrated knowledge in Eftpos systems
Computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) webPAS
Must have a minimum of 3 years Medical Administration experience – essential
Demonstrate a commitment to quality service, patient safety, and collaboration
