Key Support Worker - Service Establishment
Throughout Brisbane and Surrounds
Are you an experienced Personal Support Worker who loves building relationships, solving problems and helping people get their services off to a great start? Spinal Life Australia's Personal Support and Home Care Service is looking for dedicated Key Support Workers to join our Service Establishment Team (SET).
This is a unique and rewarding role where your expertise directly shapes the experience of new clients and the success of Personal Support teams from day one.
Position: Key Support Worker – Service Establishment Team
Type: Permanent Part Time or Casual Opportunities
Level: Level 4.2 SCHADS Award ($31.29 – PT rate)
Hours: Based on new client rosters and operational requirements
Roster: Roling Roster – Negotiated 4 weeks in advance
Location: Travel throughout Brisbane Suburbs and sometimes the Woollongabba Office
About the Role
As a SET Key Worker, you will be the first point of contact for new clients entering our Personal Care Services. You will:
- Meet with new clients to explain our services and begin their onboarding journey
- Develop and review personal care routines and create Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and Welcome Onboard documentation
- Onboard and train new Personal Support Workers using the client’s ISP
- Work closely with clients, Personal Support teams and Client Service Officers to establish and maintain smooth and safe routines
- Identify and resolve service or Workplace Health and Safety issues during the establishment period
- Provide observations and feedback to Nursing and Allied Health teams, as required
- Travel across Brisbane suburbs to support clients and Personal Support teams in varied locations, with occasional regional travel.

What makes a great SET Key Worker?
We are looking for someone who brings both professional skill and genuine heart to their work. You will ideally have:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong customer service focus, and a positive, can-do attitude
- Solid writing and administration skill – experience writing support plans is advantageous, although training is provided
- The ability to adapt your training style and communication to suit different clients and PSW team members
- Confident problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Flexibility to travel across Brisbane and occasional regionally
- Open availability to work varied shifts, with a rolling roster negotiated 4 weeks in advance
- A professional and reliable approach to representing Spinal Life Australia
