What You'll Be Doing
Sitting within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network's Lyell McEwin Health Service, this part-time contract role provides essential administrative support across divisional operations. Your day-to-day will include:
Coordinating correspondence, scheduling of patient appointments, referrals and diary management
Overseeing service-specific databases and spreadsheets and maintain all medical record documentation in line with policy requirements
Actioning data entry, records management, and administrative workflows in line with SA Health systems and procedures
Serving as a reliable first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, directing matters appropriately and professionally
Managing Child Protection Services departmental files with precision and consistency
What You'll Bring
Demonstrated experience in an administrative or clerical support role, ideally within a health, government, or large organisational setting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities with composure
Clear written and verbal communication skills with a professional, approachable manner
Familiarity with SA Health administrative platforms or health sector document management practices is well regarded
Ability to maintain confidentiality in line with NALHN privacy and information governance standards

In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.

Our Local Health Network Sites and Services:
NALHN provides a range of hospital (inpatient), outpatient, community and home-based services across multiple sites in Adelaide’s north and north-eastern suburbs, including Aboriginal health, mental health, and GP services.
Lyell McEwin Hospital – the major hospital in northern Adelaide for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetric, paediatrics and outpatient services.
Modbury Hospital – a general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
Mental Health Services – adult and older persons mental health services and statewide forensic mental health services, across hospital and community settings.
Watto Purrunna Aboriginal Primary Health Care Services – provides culturally responsive primary healthcare services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in-hospital and across four community sites.
Primary Health Care Services – including GP Plus sites at Elizabeth, Modbury and Gilles Plains.
