This role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing, with the employment type to be determined in negotiation with the preferred candidate and the NIAA delegate.

Where a non-ongoing specified term is offered, this would be for an initial period of up to 12 months, with possibility of extension up to a maximum period of two years.

A non-ongoing offer may result in conversion to an ongoing offer of employment, however this must occur within 18 months from the opening date of this advertisement.

The Opportunity

The Regional Corporate Team aims to be a responsive, trusted and reliable partner that delivers valued advice and services. The team provides corporate services and administrative support to regional work, programs and day-to-day operations, ensuring the effective delivery of business outcomes across the NIAA.

The Regional Corporate Officer is an informal leadership role within the Group. Working with limited direction, the role is responsible for coordinating corporate services, managing stakeholder relationships and contributing to projects and business improvement initiatives. The position provides advice and support on corporate service matters, while coaching and sharing knowledge across the team.

Key duties include:

contribute to a positive team culture aligned with NIAA values and committed to delivering quality outcomes
support the delivery of corporate services and administration, including accommodation and finance management, asset management, contract and service agreement monitoring, account processing and stakeholder engagement and support
provide advice and guidance to NIAA staff on corporate service matters, escalating complex issues where required
identify emerging or ongoing issues affecting corporate services and recommend strategies for resolution
prepare governance, performance and business reporting, including reporting for committees and relevant government agencies
participate in and facilitate forums, meetings and governance activities in accordance with NIAA processes
coordinate team workflows and manage personal work priorities to ensure quality and timely outcomes
plan and deliver small-scale projects and contribute to larger branch initiatives
monitor team performance and workload, identifying and implementing improvements where required
contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including the development and review of local procedures and business processes
support capability development by providing on-the-job coaching, training and guidance to team members.
