About the Role:

As Executive Director, Workforce Services, Systems and Analytics, you will lead one of Queensland's largest and most complex workforce service portfolios, providing strategic leadership across the Department's enterprise workforce systems, payroll services, school resourcing, workforce analytics and customer-focused HR services.

Leading a portfolio of six direct reports and a multidisciplinary workforce, you will ensure the delivery of critical enterprise services that support more than 1,200 state schools across Queensland. You will drive the strategic direction of workforce systems and services, leveraging digital innovation, workforce insights and continuous improvement to strengthen organisational capability and deliver service excellence.

Reporting to the Assistant Director-General Human Resource Strategy and Chief Human Resources Officer, you will provide trusted, evidence-based advice to senior executives on workforce systems, service delivery, governance and emerging strategic priorities. Through your leadership, you will shape contemporary workforce solutions that enable informed decision-making and deliver better outcomes for Queensland schools, employees and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Department's enterprise workforce services, systems and analytics portfolio, ensuring the delivery of reliable, contemporary and customer-focused services.
Drive innovation, digital transformation and continuous improvement across workforce systems, payroll, school resourcing and workforce information services.
Strengthen enterprise decision-making and workforce planning through high-quality workforce analytics, reporting and strategic insights.
Provide authoritative strategic advice to senior executives on workforce systems, service delivery, governance, risk and organisational performance.
Build strong partnerships across the Department and with key stakeholders to deliver integrated workforce solutions and sustainable business outcomes.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement while developing the capability of leaders and teams across the portfolio.

About You:

You are a high performing executive leader with a proven record of delivering enterprise-wide transformation and leading complex workforce services or shared service environments. You combine strategic vision with operational excellence and are recognised for building trusted relationships, leading high-performing teams and delivering customer-focused outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Proven success leading large-scale workforce services, enterprise systems, analytics or shared service functions within complex organisations.
Outstanding people leadership skills, including the ability to develop high-performing teams and lead innovation and change.
A strong track record of driving organisational improvement through digital transformation, innovation and evidence-based decision-making.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence and provide trusted advice at executive and government levels.
A collaborative and empowering leadership style that builds capability, fosters innovation and drives a culture of accountability and high performance.
Strong governance, risk management and strategic planning capabilities, with a focus on delivering sustainable public value.
