Full Job Description

Saunders International is a leading, Australian-based ASX-listed company, committed to providing engineering services to the energy, defence, infrastructure and resource sectors. Firmly focused on safety, Saunders spans over 75 successful years. We are proud of our ever-expanding portfolio of projects covering tank and bridge engineering and construction, terminal expansions, infrastructure remediation, technical EPCM services and industrial electrical/process automation solutions.

Due to our ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to be based at our Office in Meadowbrook, Brisbane.

What You'll Do

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Coordinate projects in accordance with the directions in the project management plans.
Coordinate subcontractors engaged on each project and ensure they are delivering their work in accordance with their safe work procedures and in line with the quality plans.
Coordination and ordering of materials and equipment for works.
Work with Managers and Supervisors to resolve technical, scheduling and safety concerns.
Complete ITPs, weld maps and any other quality records with assistance from the supervisor.
Conduct safety observations and site safety audits and ensure they are uploaded weekly.
Ensure all drawings are maintained.
Assist field staff with reading and understanding construction drawings.
Liaise with drawing & engineering office to resolve technical issues.
Ensure all field staff are supplied with the correct tools and equipment to ensure the productive and safe execution of the works.
Review method statement and ensure any changes required are approved by engineering department before execution.

About You

Essential:

Tertiary or trade qualification in an engineering disciple or similar.
General WHS Induction for Construction (white Card, Blue Card).
Enthusiasm for the role and commitment to continual improvement and growth of the business.
Innovative thinking and approach to commercial and technical aspects of project delivery.
Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills.
Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisational.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

Exposure to construction projects
Experience with reputable local contractors working on civil construction projects ranging in value.
