Description
Our QLD Water team is looking for two Cadet Drafters to work with experienced engineers, designers and drafters to deliver practical drafting solutions across a variety of water engineering projects.
As a Cadet Drafter, you will work on water-based projects and:
- Learn all facets of CAD, drafting and design techniques and gain skills in relevant computer programs.
- Work under the guidance of our engineers and designers on engineering projects; and
- Provide accurate and efficient drafting services for the business unit in accordance with project timeframes and budgets.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Completed your QCE or equivalent, with strong academic performance in mathematics, engineering and English, or completed or currently enrolled in one of the following:
Diploma of Engineering, Advanced Diploma of Engineering, or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering.
- If you do not already hold one of these qualifications, the company will support the successful candidate to complete the Associate Degree in Civil Engineering at TAFE Queensland South Bank.
- Some experience, or a keen interest, in drafting and design within the civil and structural engineering space.
- The ability to gain and apply knowledge of engineering drawing techniques and CAD packages.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- The ability to solve problems and manage your time effectively.
