Business Development Executive (Full Sales Training Provided)
Central Sydney | Office-Based
Monday–Friday | 8:30am–5:30pm
Competitive Base Salary + Super + Uncapped Commission
Realistic Year 1 OTE: $100,000 – $130,000
Top Performers: $180,000+

About the Role

Business Show Media is a global business events company that connects businesses with customers, partners and new markets through exhibitions, conferences and other industry events.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Business Development Executive to join our commercial team in Central Sydney.

This is an entry-level position with structured training and ongoing support. No previous business development experience is required. We are looking for someone who is confident communicating with people, willing to learn and interested in developing a career in B2B sales.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Business Development Executive, you will help identify and engage businesses that may benefit from participating in our events.

Your responsibilities will include:

Researching businesses and identifying relevant prospects
Building and maintaining prospect lists
Contacting potential clients by phone, email and LinkedIn
Speaking with business owners, directors and other senior professionals
Learning about prospective clients and their business objectives
Introducing relevant exhibition, sponsorship and partnership opportunities
Qualifying prospects and developing potential sales opportunities
Booking meetings and progressing opportunities through the sales process
Maintaining accurate records and activity within our CRM
Working closely with sales, marketing and event teams
Participating in coaching, training and regular performance reviews
Supporting client engagement at exhibitions and industry events when required

Training and Development

You'll receive structured training when you join, covering our events, products, sales process, prospecting and client communication.

You'll also receive ongoing coaching and feedback as you develop your skills.

This role is designed to provide practical experience in B2B business development and can provide a foundation for progression into more senior commercial positions.

Previous experience in sales, recruitment, customer service, hospitality, retail, call centres or other customer-facing environments can be helpful, but is not essential.
