About Communify’s Medicare Mental Health Centre
Communify’s Medicare Mental Health Centres (MMHC) are safe and welcoming spaces that provide high-quality mental health supports delivered by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and people with a lived experience of mental health. Funded by Brisbane North PHN, the centres provide free, integrated support over extended hours for individuals with moderate to severe mental health concerns and complex life circumstances, as well as support for careers and families.

A key element of Communify’s Medicare Mental Health Centres integrated service delivery is our psychosocial program, which delivers high-quality support to those whose complex mental health concerns have a significant impact on daily life and wellbeing. Communify’s MMHC psychosocial program provides support for up to 12 months to eligible participants with a strong focus on delivering recovery-oriented services in participants’ communities.

Communify is seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Manager to join our Medicare Mental Health Centre in Redcliffe. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced mental health clinician to provide clinical governance, practice leadership and service development within a multidisciplinary, trauma-informed and recovery-oriented service.

Working closely with both the Centre Manager and Senior Manager of our Mental Health Programs, you will support our clinical workforce to deliver safe, person-centred care while driving continuous improvement, strengthening partnerships and contributing to the ongoing development of innovative mental health programs.

About the role

Provide senior clinical leadership, supervision, coaching and reflective practice to multidisciplinary teams.
Lead clinical governance, complex case consultation and clinical review to support safe, high-quality service delivery.
Support the day-to-day clinical operations of the Medicare Mental Health Centre, including service flow, referrals and clinical escalation.
Champion recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, culturally safe and person-led practice.
Lead the implementation and development of the Mental Health Care Partners pilot program and support psychology initiatives and therapeutic group programs.
Build and strengthen collaborative partnerships with GPs, Queensland Health, Brisbane North PHN and community organisations.
Contribute to quality improvement, accreditation, clinical governance, reporting and service evaluation.
Support workforce capability through mentoring, education and professional development.

About You

You are a confident and collaborative clinical leader who is passionate about supporting people experiencing mental health challenges while developing high-performing teams.

You'll bring:

Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing or another relevant allied health discipline.
Current professional registration or accreditation with the relevant professional body (AHPRA, AASW or equivalent).
Significant experience working within community mental health, crisis support or multidisciplinary mental health services.
Demonstrated experience providing clinical leadership, supervision and complex case consultation.
Advanced knowledge of mental health assessment, risk assessment, care planning and recovery-oriented practice.
Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary and lived experience teams.
Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.

Essential Requirements

Current Queensland Driver Licence.
Current National Police Check.
NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain).
Relevant professional registration or accreditation where applicable.
