About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Recognised knowledge and skills in Social Work practice as obtained through relevant tertiary education, with a demonstrated ability to translate / apply this knowledge to clinical service provision within a health context.
Commitment to learning and developing Social Work practice skills and through active participation in continued professional development, supervision to meet the CPD hours set by the AASW and commitment to the full two-year (24 month) graduate position.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build, maintain and effectively manage professional relationships with patients, carers / families, service providers and other health professionals, including the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment and to work cooperatively with other professionals and contribute positively in all interactions in the workplace at all levels.
Ability to apply effective written and verbal communication skills to undertake psychosocial assessments, and correspondence with service providers and clinical reports that is consistent with the provision of practice within the medico legal requirements and in accordance with relevant prescribed professional and ethical standards.

Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia for a Social Worker, eligibility of AASW membership.
This role provides health, counselling and support services that may involve children and will require a blue card.
