About the role

We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy Commercial Cleaner for regular evening cleaning in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

This is an ongoing casual position of approximately 7 hours per week:

Tuesday evening – approximately 2 hours across 2 nearby client sites
Friday evening – approximately 5 hours across several client sites

$38.00 per hour + superannuation

Important: This is a multi-site cleaning route, not a single-site cleaning position. You will be required to drive your own reliable vehicle between client premises during the shift.

Most sites are located reasonably close to each other. The final Friday site is located in Mill Park.

Applicants must be available every Tuesday and Friday evening on an ongoing basis. Friday cleaning must be completed on Friday evening as scheduled with our clients and cannot routinely be moved to another day.

The role involves cleaning commercial offices, common areas and medical premises. After training, you will work independently and will be trusted with access to client premises after hours.

Duties include:

Vacuuming and mopping floors
Cleaning toilets, kitchens and common areas
Dusting, skirting boards, door frames and checking for cobwebs
Emptying rubbish bins and replacing liners
Restocking toilet paper, hand towels, soap and other consumables
General presentation checks of entrances and common areas
Following site-specific cleaning instructions and checklists
Occasional use of a small commercial carpark sweeper when required — training provided

What we're looking for:

Reliable and punctual
Honest and trustworthy
Comfortable working independently after training
Good attention to detail
Able to follow a set cleaning scope and route
Good communication skills
Own reliable and roadworthy vehicle
Current driver's licence
Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one before working independently
Right to work in Australia
Comfortable using a mobile app to accurately clock on at the beginning of the route and clock off at the end
Able to contact the manager if work is taking significantly longer than expected rather than simply extending the shift

Commercial cleaning experience is preferred, although training will be provided to the right person.

We are a small established cleaning business with long-term clients. We are looking for someone who values reliability, consistency, security and doing the right thing when working independently in our clients' premises.
