The Venue

Are you a highly skilled and experienced waiter/waitress looking for a new opportunity in the food and beverage industry?

Matteo is your vibrant neighbourhood trattoria, located in the heart of Double Bay. We are currently seeking an experienced waiter/waitress who is passionate about delivering top-notch service to our valued guests.

Matteo Sydney Group is an expanding boutique hospitality group dedicated to bringing true Italian culture to Sydney. Responsibilities:

Greet and seat guests with a warm and friendly attitude, ensuring a positive first impression.
Provide detailed knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and any specials or promotions.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff promptly.
Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring high quality and presentation standards are met.
Anticipate guest needs and proactively address any concerns or special requests.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of tables and dining areas.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in workstations and dining areas.
Handle guest payments accurately and efficiently, including processing credit card transactions and issuing receipts.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and seamless dining experience for guests.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a waiter/waitress in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
Exceptional knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine pairings and cocktail recommendations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
Strong multitasking and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
A positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
