Full Job Description

Warehouse Manager

Location: Riverwood, NSW
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are a long-established wholesale importer and distributor of quality tiles, supplying customers across Australia. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Manager to take ownership of our warehouse operations and lead our warehouse team.

This is an important leadership position for someone who enjoys improving operations, developing people and creating a productive, organised and accountable warehouse environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day management of our warehouse operations across two nearby locations.

Your responsibilities will include:

Lead, manage and motivate the warehouse team.
Plan daily workloads, staffing and operational priorities.
Drive productivity, accountability, attendance and performance across the team.
Ensure customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time.
Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy and stock control.
Manage stock breakages, variances and warehouse damage.
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient warehouse environment.
Oversee warehouse layout, storage and space utilisation.
Ensure forklifts and warehouse equipment are operated safely and maintained appropriately.
Conduct regular toolbox talks and maintain strong WHS standards.
Monitor warehouse operating costs.
Manage external supplier relationships and 3rd party negotiations.
Identify inefficiencies and implement practical improvements.
Work closely with Despatch, Administration and Management to ensure smooth operations.
Report on warehouse performance, issues and improvement opportunities.

About You

We are looking for a confident and capable warehouse leader who takes genuine ownership of their operation.

You will ideally have:

Previous experience as a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role.
Proven experience managing and motivating warehouse teams.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.
Excellent organisation, planning and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with inventory control, picking, packing and despatch.
A strong understanding of warehouse WHS requirements.
Good computer and warehouse systems skills.
A current Australian Forklift Licence and current Drivers Licence.
A hands-on leadership style and willingness to work alongside your team when required.

Experience within tiles, building products, construction materials or heavy/bulky goods would be highly regarded.
