About Us
Evac-You-8 Enterprise Pty Ltd is an established fire safety and emergency management company based in Brookvale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
We provide fire safety training, evacuation diagrams, emergency plans, zone block plans, emergency procedure guides and other site-specific fire and emergency management services to organisations across a wide range of industries.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Graphic Designer & Administration Assistant to join our small team.
This is a varied role combining graphic design, technical drawing and general administration. It would suit someone who enjoys both creative work and precise, structured design tasks and who is confident receiving instructions, interpreting feedback and following established processes.
Previous fire safety experience is not required – training in our systems, standards and drawing requirements will be provided.
About the Role
Your design work will include:
- Creating and amending evacuation diagrams and floor plans
- Producing zone block plans and other site-specific fire safety drawings
- Creating emergency procedure flip charts and training materials
- Designing and updating company booklets and publications
- Preparing PowerPoint presentations and training resources
- Designing flyers, promotional materials and marketing content
- Assisting with social media and other visual content
- Working within existing company templates, branding and design standards
- Making amendments based on client and internal feedback
- Assisting with website graphics and general marketing material
The role will also involve administration and operational support, including:
- Responding to client emails and enquiries
- Preparing quotes and documentation
- Updating spreadsheets and company records
- Filing and maintaining electronic documents
- Liaising with clients by phone and email
- Assisting the team with general day-to-day administration
- Occasionally attending sites to assist with inspections, measurements and floor plan information
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is creative but, just as importantly, accurate, organised and able to follow instructions carefully.
You should have:
- Experience in graphic design or a closely related role
- Strong skills using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat
- Experience working with detailed layouts, plans, diagrams or technical-style documents
- Good Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to receive instructions, interpret requirements and follow established processes
- The ability to make amendments accurately based on feedback
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple jobs at once
- Confidence working independently once trained
- A reliable and proactive attitude
- An Australian Driver’s Licence
Because many of our diagrams and documents form part of clients' emergency management systems, attention to detail is extremely important in this role.
Highly Regarded
Experience in any of the following would be an advantage, but is not essential:
- Technical drawing or floor plan design
- Evacuation or architectural diagrams
- Marketing and social media content
- Administration or customer service
- Website content updates
- Document and booklet design
Graduate and early-career designers with a strong portfolio and excellent attention to detail are also encouraged to apply.
What We Offer
- Flexible weekday hours
- No weekend work
- Opportunity for hours to increase as the role develops
- Training in our specialised fire safety design requirements
- Variety across technical, creative and administrative work
- Travel reimbursement where applicable
- Professional development opportunities
- Christmas bonus
- Supportive, small-team working environment
- Opportunity to grow with an established Northern Beaches business
To Apply
Please submit:
- Your current resume
- A portfolio or examples of relevant design work

We would particularly like to see examples demonstrating Adobe Illustrator skills, layout/design work, floor plans, diagrams, maps or other detailed graphic work where available.
