Full Job Description

The role
As our newest Manager you will join the Assessing Management team and you will lead Assessing teams with a focus on building a commercially sound strategy and maintaining the consistent controls and operating rhythms that drive performance.

You'll provide clear direction, coaching and development to your team — ensuring every member understands their role, owns their accountability and has the skills to deliver against business objectives.

This role will require semi-regular interstate travel.

What you’ll be doing

Be directly responsible for leading, coaching and developing the Desktop Home Assessing Team, driving high performance against KPIs, service standards and compliance requirements
Act as key liaison for internal and external stakeholders, collaborating across the end-to-end Home value chain to deliver against overall business objectives
Work closely with the Commercial Manager to vet, procure and govern supplier services within appropriate contractual and compliance frameworks
Monitor, audit and manage supplier performance nationally, ensuring adequate capacity, coverage and adherence to procurement protocols and best practice standards
Act as escalation point for complex negotiations and high-profile disputes, working closely with the Claims Operations Team
Identify and report on key trends, risks and opportunities within the Home Assessing & Supply team and broader Building Repair industry
Lead the team through Change Programs while maintaining strong knowledge of market developments, regulatory requirements, systems and products

Qualifications & Experience

Extensive management experience, including leading teams & having accountability of business results, minimum of 5 years preferred
Strong knowledge of the Home Assessing, Building Repair & Restoration environment and associated market practices and standards
Strong commercial acumen and proven capability in the development and execution of strategic programs of work
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels, along with accurate report writing
