About the Role
We are seeking a junior Project Manager to join the Glas team at an exciting stage of our growth. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Sydney. Working closely with the Head of Development, you will be playing a central role in supporting the development and delivery of utility scale solar PV and storage projects from site origination through to fully consented and read to build phases.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the identification and technical assessment of suitable sites for solar PV, battery storage and data centres development using mapping tools, engineering principles, technical data and other relevant information.
- Support technical site feasibility assessments, including review of grid capacity, site infrastructure, land requirements, planning constraints, environmental considerations and other engineering and development factors.
- Assist senior team members with the technical and commercial assessment of new project opportunities, including identification of engineering constraints, infrastructure requirements and project risks.
- Maintain engagement with landowners and land agents regarding the potential development of solar PV, battery storage and data centre projects.
- Assist with the preparation, review and coordination of landowner agreements, consultancy contracts, technical documentation and other project documentation.
- Coordinate and monitor the activities of specialist engineering, technical and other consultants involved in project development, including review of technical deliverables against project requirements.
- Assist with progressing projects through the grid connection process, including review and coordination of technical grid connection requirements, studies and information provided by network operators and engineering consultants.
- Maintain project programmes, action trackers, technical risk registers and other project management documentation, including monitoring engineering and technical risks affecting project feasibility, cost and programme.
- Monitor project progress, identify emerging technical, engineering and development issues, and escalate material risks or delays to senior management.
About You
The successful candidate will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in engineering or related technical discipline
- 1-3 years relevant experience as a Project Manager
- Experience or exposure to assessing potential sites for solar PV and/or battery storage development using mapping tools and other relevant data sources.
- Understanding of site feasibility assessments, energy yield analysis and basic project financial modelling, including budgets and cash flow analysis.
- Experience or exposure to engaging with landowners, land agents, consultants or other external stakeholders.
- Experience supporting the preparation, review or negotiation of commercial agreements, including landowner and consultancy agreements.
- An understanding of the grid connection process and/or experience engaging with relevant network operators.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
