What You’ll Be Doing

Preparing and implementing proactive claims strategies within required timeframes to achieve optimal outcomes and minimise claim costs.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to progress strategies and actions.

Assessing liability and recovery matters in line with relevant legislation and policies, while undertaking ongoing reviews of entitlements and payments.

Proactively managing rehabilitation providers and approving rehabilitation and wellness plans in accordance with self-insurance guidelines.

Supporting injured workers through their recovery by promoting health and wellbeing and empowering them to actively participate in their treatment and return-to-work journey.

Providing coaching, guidance and support to team members and assisting with escalated or complex claims matters.

We’re looking for an experienced claims professional who combines technical expertise with genuine empathy and a strong commitment to achieving positive outcomes for injured workers.

Demonstrated experience in workers compensation claims management, ideally within a self-insured environment.

An empathetic, resilient and motivational approach to providing customer-centric support.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to navigate challenging conversations.

Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.

Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.

The ability to proactively identify opportunities, develop effective strategies and drive claims outcomes.

The confidence and experience to provide coaching, guidance and support as a senior member of the team.
