About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Parking Enforcement Officer to join our Community Compliance team. As our new parking officer, you will make a difference daily by providing effective and efficient parking enforcement duties within the municipality to create and maintain an environment that preserves and enhances public health and safety.

Enforce the provisions of the Road Safety Act and Regulations, the Local Government Act, Local Laws and other relevant legislation.
Manage time and work activities effectively under limited supervision.
Patrolling assigned areas on foot or by motor vehicle
Issuing parking infringement notices on behalf of the Council
Record and maintain clear records of enforcement matters
Responding to and investigating parking related complaints.
Providing exceptional customer service to the general public

About the Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong customer service focus, sound decision-making skills, and excellent communication abilities. They will be capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Strong face-to-face customer service experience
Flexible availability to work a six-day rotating roster between 7:00am - 8:00pm Monday to Saturday including evenings, weekends and public holiday shifts
Excellent organisation and time management skills to patrol designated areas
Strong written skills to create accurate reports to be used as enforcement evidence
Strong observation skills to make sound enforcement decisions, assess safety risks and to interpret parking regulations
Australian Drivers Licence
