About the role
As an Intelligence Operations Officer, you’ll help protect our team members, customers and stores by monitoring live and recorded CCTV, store alerts, and incident activity across the Coles network. Working from our Intelligence Operations Centre based in the Coles Store Support Centre, you’ll assess fast-moving situations, support store-based security teams and help improve the speed and quality of our operational response. This is a full-time, onsite role with a rotating roster that includes early mornings, late evenings and weekends.
You will :

Monitor CCTV, alerts, and incident activity to identify theft, threatening behaviour and other harm-related events.

Review footage quickly and accurately to assess incidents, identify persons of interest and support timely intervention.

Communicate clearly over radio to direct and support our in-store security and relevant store teams during live incidents.

Create precise incident records, including Auror reports, CCTV evidence captures and supporting details.

Escalate incidents appropriately and provide reliable information to support investigations, evidence handling and police engagement.

Work closely with Intelligence Operations Centre colleagues, Protection Services teams, law enforcement, and store stakeholders to deliver a coordinated response.
About you and your skills
You’re calm under pressure, highly observant, and able to make sound decisions when incidents are moving quickly. You communicate clearly, work well as part of a team and take pride in producing accurate reports that help keep people and stores safer.
You will have:

Experience in a control room, monitoring environment, security operations centre, surveillance role or similar operational setting.

Strong capability using systems such as Auror and Microsoft Office.

Strong CCTV or video review skills, with the ability to interpret behaviour and assess risk accurately.

Clear verbal communication skills, including confidence using radio or other live communication channels.

Strong written reporting skills and close attention to detail when recording incidents or handling digital evidence.

The ability to stay focused during prolonged monitoring and work effectively in a fast-paced, onsite operations environment.
