Full Job Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic Barista / All-Rounder to join our friendly, close-knit team at The Pastry Lab Caloundra.

Please note: The advertised rate applies to a Level 1 Food & Beverage Attendant aged 20 years and over. Junior rates apply for team members aged 17–19 years.

What We Offer

Free coffee every shift

38 hours per week
Casual with transition to Permanent available
Tuesday to Saturday | 6:30am – 2:45pm

About the Role

This role is split between barista duties and front-of-house service, with approximately a 70% Barista /30% FOH rostered mix. Some weeks you may spend most of your time on the coffee machine, while others may be focused on customer service and front-of-house responsibilities depending on others on leave.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional coffee and outstanding customer experiences.

What You'll Be Doing

Dialling in espresso machines and maintaining coffee quality throughout service
Preparing espresso coffee, matcha, iced drinks, specialty beverages, and cold foams to recipe
Working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Following established systems and procedures to ensure consistency
Providing friendly, professional customer service both behind the machine and on the floor

✅ Confidence working both on and off the coffee machine

✅ Reliability, consistency, and attention to detail
✅ A team player who enjoys working in a busy environment
