Experienced Café Cook/Barista - All Rounder
Sunshine Coast Fun Park (formerly Bli Bli Watersports)
Sunshine Coast Fun Park is seeking an experienced, reliable and mature hospitality professional to join our leadership team for the upcoming summer season.
Working alongside our Café Manager, you will help oversee the daily operation of our busy café, which services guests visiting our Wake Park, Aqua Park and Barra Fishing Park.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading by example and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing café meals including burgers, wraps, sandwiches and other menu items.
- Preparing and serving quality espresso coffee and beverages (strong barista experience is essential).
- Supervising and supporting café team members during busy service periods.
- Providing outstanding customer service.
- Opening and closing the café.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and presentation.
- Assisting with stock ordering, stock control and daily café operations.
- Operating the POS system and handling cash and EFTPOS transactions.
- Serving alcohol in accordance with RSA requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have several years’ experience working in a busy café.
- Be an experienced and confident barista.
- Have previous experience opening and closing a café.
- Be organised, reliable and able to work independently.
- Remain calm and efficient during busy periods.
- Take pride in maintaining high standards.
- Hold (or be willing to obtain before commencement) a current RSA Certificate.
Availability
Our busiest period is November through January, with quieter trading during the winter months. Applicants must be available to work across a seven-day roster, including weekends, public holidays and school holiday periods as required.
