Job Location: This role is based at Flinders Steet SA Offices, Adelaide. However we would consider suitable candidates from Melbourne.

Role Description:

The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for the establishment, placement and management of the appropriate contracting arrangements with capable suppliers to deliver the cost, schedule, quality and safety requirements of the business, which, through relationship and performance management, maximises value and minimises risk.

Core Duties:

Lead the delivery of our Partnering4Success program.
Provide advice on the strategic and transactional aspects of sourcing to stakeholders through knowledge of domestic and international markets.
Maintain a core understanding of industry, and business sourcing demand which supports effective sourcing strategies.
Prepare and present strategies addressing business issues and objectives whilst quantifying risk and developing mitigation plans.
Monitor, review and communicate progress in delivering strategy and benefits.
Identify opportunities for savings and other benefits by exercising a broad variety of strategic levers and process enhancements to achieve continuous improvement while creating valuable benefits to stakeholders.
Conduct and lead business reviews with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure effective contract management and resolution of business challenges.
Leader the development of supply chain strategy development in support of business winning activities.

About You:

Australian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Essential).
Significant experience executing strategic commercial agreements and development of sourcing plans at a senior level.
Demonstrated experience in the development & negotiation of contracts with keys/ product categories.
Degree qualified in a Supply Chain, Commercial or Business Management discipline (desirable)
Demonstrated strong relationship management skills..
Strong leadership experience.
Experience operating within a business winning environment, demonstrated either through Business Development, capture or strategy knowledge.
Demonstrated experience in software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word and Oracle.
