At Queensland Childcare Services (QCCS), we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Area Manager to join our leadership team and support a portfolio of services across North Brisbane.

�� Full Time: Monday–Friday | 38 hours with flexibility

YOUR IMPACT
As an Area Manager, you won't simply oversee services — you'll be a coach, mentor, problem-solver and trusted partner to our Centre Directors and leadership teams.

You'll spend your time in our services, building relationships, developing strong leaders and helping our teams achieve exceptional outcomes for children, families and educators.

You will:

Coach, mentor and empower Centre Directors and leadership teams.
Build strong, capable and confident service leaders.
Support services to achieve excellence in quality, compliance and operational performance.
Identify opportunities for service growth and continuous improvement.
Support compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations.
Develop and facilitate leadership training, mentoring and professional development opportunities.
Work alongside services during periods of change or transition, providing practical and hands-on leadership when needed.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and high expectations.
Regularly visit and support your portfolio of QCCS services across North Brisbane.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone who knows early childhood, understands leadership and genuinely enjoys helping other leaders succeed.

You will bring:

Proven experience as an Area Manager within the ECEC sector.
Strong knowledge of the NQF, National Law and Regulations and contemporary ECEC practice.
The ability to inspire, coach and develop Centre Directors and leadership teams.
A calm, approachable and solutions-focused leadership style.
Strong commercial and operational awareness.
Excellent organisation and the ability to confidently manage competing priorities.
Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
A genuine commitment to children's safety, wellbeing and best interests.
A passion for continuous improvement and developing others.

Essential Requirements

Minimum Diploma of Children's Services or approved equivalent.
Current Blue Card.
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
Current Driver Licence and willingness to regularly travel between services.
A commitment to healthy living and wellbeing and being a positive role model for the children in our care.
