Service Integrated Communities | Queanbeyan

The opportunity

Be the difference in aged care, with the opportunity to work at our Queanbeyan home.

In this position you will have the opportunity to bring your skills and knowledge to provide well presented, nutritional meals for our residents, creating a good food and dining experience. Developing your growth within the industry you will manage all aspects of the catering and food production including supervision of catering staff.

The benefits

Part time position | 30 hours, 4 days per week
Must have the abilility to work the required weekly roster of Tuesday - Wednesday 0630-1430 and Thursday - Friday 0930-1730
Hourly rate: $35.10 + Super + NFP packaging

The requirements

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar
Extensive cooking experience in a commercial environment
Demonstrated experience in the preparation of bulk cooking.
Experience in ordering stock within budget guidelines.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal with demonstrated interpersonal skills and empathy with older people.
Demonstrated organisational skills and meeting deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to direct and supervise the work of others.
An understanding of and an ability to deal with Work Health and Safety issues.
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
Commitment to workplace equity issues.
Ensure the food service complies with the requirements of the NSW Food Authority
First aid certificate

Desirable

Previous experience in the Aged Care Industry and/or related services
