Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our team on either a part-time or full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization's day-to-day financial operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Process payroll accurately and on time.
Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
Monitor purchases and accurately enter supplier invoices into the accounting system.
Assist with cash flow monitoring and financial planning.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant legal requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Assist with answering phone calls and supporting counter sales when required.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–3 years of accounting experience (entry-level candidates with relevant internships may also be considered).
Experience with accounting software is an advantage (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

Experience with payroll processing.
Familiarity with tax preparation and regulatory compliance.
Experience using ERP systems.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
