Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our team on either a part-time or full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization's day-to-day financial operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Process payroll accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
- Monitor purchases and accurately enter supplier invoices into the accounting system.
- Assist with cash flow monitoring and financial planning.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant legal requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Assist with answering phone calls and supporting counter sales when required.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of accounting experience (entry-level candidates with relevant internships may also be considered).
- Experience with accounting software is an advantage (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with payroll processing.
- Familiarity with tax preparation and regulatory compliance.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
