We’re looking for a high-performing Financial Accountant with at least 12 months of commercial experience to join a dynamic, evolving business.
If you’ve trained in a Big 4 environment and are ready to step into a broader, more commercially focused role then this is your opportunity.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, driving financial modelling and forecasting, and strengthening governance across the business. This is a high-impact, highly visible role with exposure to senior stakeholders at an exciting time of growth and transformation. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of ad-hoc financial projects, giving you broad exposure across the business.
As a Financial Accountant you will undertake a range of duties including:
- Lead the end-to-end commission process for Private Wealth, acting as the key partner to advisers
- Own month-end close to ensure timely, accurate reporting
- Manage biannual Payment Times Reporting (PTR)
- Review and approve sales invoices, purchases, and transactional activity
- Oversee equity-settled transactions, including valuation and reporting
- Prepare annual intangible asset and goodwill impairment assessments
- Deliver cash flow forecasting, budgets, and statutory accounts
- Provide insightful ad-hoc analysis and contribute to financial projects as required
- Partner with auditors and internal teams to ensure smooth, accurate reporting cycles
- Maintain high standards of financial control, accuracy, and compliance

About you

To be successful in this role you will be able to display the following:
- CA or CPA qualification, supported by a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
- Experience gained in Big 4, mid-tier, and/or commercial environments
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting
- Strong capability in managing complex accounting areas, including commissions, equity transactions, and impairment assessments
- Solid technical knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and statutory compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
- Exposure to Performio, Concur, or NetSuite (highly regarded but not essential)
