What are the specifics of the role?
As a skilled and experienced Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting Windermere’s Digital Transformation division by turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.
Working to help shape and mature the Business Insights (BI) function, you will develop and maintain operational, financial and management reporting, build fit-for-purpose dashboards, and support teams to make confident, data-enabled decisions.
This role will involve collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to gather data and reporting requirements, translating technical findings into plain English, maintaining data documentation, supporting data quality and governance initiatives, and providing testing, training and user support for reporting solutions across Power BI, Excel, SQL and related data systems.
This is a fixed term position to 30 June 2027 with possible extension, offered at 0.6–1.0 FTE, with the option of hybrid working in line with Windermere’s Ways of Working.
The salary will be $105,183.96 (Pro rata for part time). As Windermere is a not-for-profit organisation, employees are able to claim everyday living expenses up to $15,900 against their annual Pre-Tax Salary. Key Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in data analytics, information technology/systems, business analytics or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting or business intelligence, including developing dashboards and reporting solutions in a business environment.
- Strong capability in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, data visualisation and reporting, including use of DAX and Power Query.
- Solid SQL skills, with an understanding of data modelling, relational databases, data quality practices and data governance, privacy and security requirements.
- Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and engage effectively with business users and stakeholders.
- Willingness to promote and support practices that are inclusive, culturally responsive, safe and accessible.
- Current Victorian Drivers’ Licence
- Willingness to undertake relevant pre-employment screening and checks - including, Police Check, Pre-Employment Medical and Working with Children's check
- Right to Work in Australia e.g. Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or visa holder with full working rights
