About the role:
The Business Analyst supports in driving financial performance across the AN business. This role assists in providing clear and timely financial reports, planning, insightful analysis and advice. It ensures compliance with company policies, internal controls and health and safety standards while continuously improving finance processes. Through strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, the Business Analyst supports informed decision-making and contributes to the overall operational and strategic success of the organisation.
What does this role involve?
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Support the delivery of timely and accurate financial reporting in line with internal deadlines and regional (REU) requirements.
- Act as a backup for the NZ month-end close process, ensuring adherence to local timelines and compliance standards.
Rebates / RCC Management
- Assist in resolving rebate and RCC-related issues, including running manual accruals for ad hoc IDs.
- Prepare monthly rebates/RCC general ledger reconciliations.
- Support responses to external audit queries related to rebates and RCC.
Planning & Forecasting
- Contribute to the preparation of forecasts and annual business plans in line with local and regional requirements.
Financial Analysis & Performance Management
- Support the preparation of monthly business review reports and presentations.
- Leverage synergies across AU and NZ to enhance insights and reporting outcomes.
- Analyse financial performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to support business decision-making.
Governance, Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls are consistently applied and maintained.
- Support audit processes, conduct regular reviews, and promote compliance awareness across the organisation.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes, driving efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including OV, SV, and DC business units, to deliver financial insights, support decision-making, and build strong working relationships.
Required Skills:
- Finance professional with technical expertise in financial analysis
- Good technical skills for data analysis and presentation tools (Microsoft Excel, Business Intelligence, Power Point, and SAP)
- Strong focus on team development and strategic thinking
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive efficiency and deliver results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and foster collaboration
- Commitment to continuous learning and development
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
