About The Royal Sydney Golf Club

The Royal Sydney Golf Club, founded in 1893, is one of Australia’s most reputable social and sporting institutions. Our staff are professional, engaged and recognised for their skill and talent. We all work together to progress the Club and to uphold its traditions; we aim for excellence, to lead and support each other, and to enjoy the experience.

The role:

Reporting in to the Clubhouse Operations Manager you will be the hub of information for the Club and be responsible for creating a seamless member experience at the front desk and delivering exceptional service levels.

This is a part-time role offering 15-25 hours a week, requiring flexible availability to work during the week, on weekends and public holidays (rotating roster) with shifts ranging from 5.30am starts to 9.30pm finishes.

Key tasks include:

Deliver the highest standard of service experience to members and their guests
Ensure the Club’s rules and regulations are adhered to including enforcing the dress regulations
Assist members and guests with all enquiries in a professional manner in a timely manner, directing any enquiries to the most appropriate person
Organise bookings for accommodation and confirm accommodation request prior to check in
Perform check ins and check outs for members who are staying in the accommodation rooms, assisting members to accommodation rooms and to the car park with luggage
Remain up to date at all times with the day’s meetings, fixtures and upcoming events in the Green Book
Order taxis/ubers for members and guests as required
Assist members and guests with purchases in the Cellar Door, and other Reception based retail initiatives
Organise bookings for Dining Room/Club Bar
Manage lost property, member mail and cloakroom services effectively
Ensure large and small card rooms are neat and tidy with bridge score cards and pencils on each table on scheduled playing days
Restock and maintain the tidiness of the Cellar Door

What does the Club need from me?

Minimum 1-year experience in either a Reception or admin related role
Demonstrate a passion for customer service
Demonstrated high levels of organisation, time management skills and composure under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Have intermediate computer skills including word, excel and outlook programs
Have customer service and front desk experience
Be available to work flexible hours, this includes morning, afternoon, weekends and public holidays
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with other staff
