Position: Speech Therapist (Contract / Part-time) at Willows Speech & Occupational Therapy

About Us
At Willows, we’re a dedicated, young, friendly team committed to delivering exceptional paediatric therapy. We work with children aged 18 months to 17 years, specialising in autism, feeding therapy, speech & language, social communication and developmental delay. We collaborate closely with families to provide personalised, holistic care that empowers children and parents alike.

Your Role

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language and communication disorders.
Develop and implement individualised therapy plans tailored to each child’s needs and goals.
Deliver fun, engaging group sessions (e.g., Lego groups, functional cooking skills, school-readiness, social skill groups).
Empower families and caregivers with strategies to support their child’s development at home and in everyday settings.
Provide services both in-clinic and (optionally) in community settings such as preschools or schools.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client progress, assessments and treatment plans.
Collaborate closely with other therapists, educators and caregivers to ensure a holistic, team-based approach.
Demonstrate strong organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills; you’ll work autonomously as well as part of a team.

About You

Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology.
Current membership (or eligible for) Speech Pathology Australia (Certified Practising Speech Pathologist preferred).
Experience working with children (especially those with additional needs) is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
A clear understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and working collaboratively with families from diverse cultural, linguistic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Current Working with Children Check, National Police Check, driver’s licence and own vehicle.
Eligible for a Medicare Provider Number.
