About The Role

The Business Support Officer will be a vital point of contact for external customers regarding inquiries related to Environment and Regulation. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the ER Division, ensuring efficient processes in correspondence, documentation, and customer service management.

Key responsibilities include preparing high-quality reports and statistical data for management, maintaining accurate registers, managing requests, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The position also requires supporting staff training and effectively utilising Council’s systems.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in administrative support, preferably within a local government environment.

Qualifications in Administration.
Experience in high-volume administrative roles with competing demands.
Proven customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt to new technologies.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on achieving results and enhancing service delivery.

Package: $81,866 - $86,777 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
Hours of work: Temporary Full Time. This opportunity is expected to be available for up to 12 months. You will have the option of a 19 day month through Council’s flex system.
