As a Senior Front-End Web Engineer, you will:
Craft, build and deliver high-quality web experiences that delight customers and create meaningful outcomes.
Develop modern, accessible and performant user interfaces using React, Next.js and TypeScript.
Drive technical excellence through modern engineering practices, automated testing, observability and continuous delivery.
Leverage AI-assisted and agentic engineering approaches to improve delivery effectiveness and engineer productivity.
Contribute to the evolution of ANZ's web platform, front-end architecture and engineering standards.
Mentor and coach engineers, helping grow technical capability across the team.
Collaborate across marketing, design, security, architecture, platform and backend engineering teams to deliver shared outcomes.
Facilitate technical discussions and help navigate complex engineering decisions.
Take ownership of initiatives from concept through to production support while helping ensure the reliability, availability and security of customer-facing services.
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Extensive experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on front-end web development.
Strong commercial experience with React, JavaScript and TypeScript.
Experience building and supporting applications using Next.js.
Deep knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive design and modern browser technologies.
Experience working with API-driven architectures, including REST and/or gRPC services.
Knowledge of automated testing practices, CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery methodologies.
Experience working within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.
Strong understanding of performance, scalability, security and observability principles.
Proven ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction.
A strong customer focus and understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 AA or higher.
Experience working in Agile environments with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to work collaboratively across teams while balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
