Demi Chef - Full Time ($72,666 - $74,166)

Set against the backdrop of Adelaide Oval, Adelaide Oval Hospitality delivers exceptional dining experiences across premium restaurants, corporate hospitality, major sporting events, concerts, conferences and large-scale functions. As one of Australia’s leading hospitality venues, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding food experiences across every event and service.

We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated full-time Demi Chef to join our culinary team. Working alongside experienced chefs, you’ll play an important role in preparing and delivering exceptional food across functions, premium hospitality, corporate events and stadium experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen while developing their skills within a professional culinary brigade.

What you'll be doing

Prepare, cook and present food to world-class standards across a broad range of hospitality offerings, including casual dining, premium hospitality, fine dining, buffets and contemporary event menus.
Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of your allocated kitchen section, ensuring efficient workflow, timely service and effective support across other sections as required.
Undertake high-volume food preparation while maintaining exceptional quality, consistency and presentation standards.
Following all systems and processes relevant to the delivery of food services in the Production and Banquet kitchen facilities.
Compliance with AOSMA responsibilities such as HACCP and other house policies.

What you'll bring

Previous experience as a Cook, Demi Chef or similar position within a commercial kitchen.
Relevant trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
Experience preparing quality food in a busy hospitality, hotel, restaurant or events environment,.
Experience in working in areas such as a la carte and fine dining.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
Ability to work in large, busy and fast paced banqueting or production kitchens.
