What this opportunity involves:
We're seeking an Engineering and Operations Supervisor to serve as the on-site point of contact for our client, leading comprehensive building operations including engineering systems, contractor management, and capital project delivery. You'll manage vendor relationships and maintain strict health and safety compliance across all operations. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, financial acumen to manage budgets and contracts. You'll drive continuous improvement initiatives while managing everything from day-to-day operations to complex fitout projects and emergency response. The ideal candidate will balance strategic planning with hands-on operational management, ensuring service excellence and client satisfaction across all facilities management functions.
An overview of the role:
People & Stakeholder Management Coach and mentor the onsite team while serving as the primary client contact. Build strong stakeholder relationships across all organizational levels and represent Facilities at monthly/quarterly client meetings.
Vendor & Contract Management Oversee all vendor relationships and contract lifecycles, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. Manage contractor KPIs, tender processes, safety compliance (including inductions, CM3 registration, SWMS), and drive continuous value optimization.
Financial & Budget Management Control site financial operations to meet/exceed targets while maintaining JLL Code of Ethics compliance. Manage service contract budgets and Capex project delivery within approved timeframes and costs.
Engineering & Sustainability Management Optimize building engineering systems (BMS, HVAC, water, power) to achieve 5 Star NABERS energy and 4.5 Star NABERS water ratings. Conduct system reviews, identify improvement opportunities, and manage contractors to implement operational enhancements.
Health, Safety & Risk Management Ensure full compliance with fire, health and safety regulations. Implement risk management programs, business continuity plans, JLL Permit to Work systems, and incident reporting procedures. Provide 24/7 emergency response support.
Operations & Project Management Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain industry best practice operations. Manage tenant fitouts, conduct routine site inspections, and deliver projects for Queensland clients while achieving all KPI and SLA targets.
