Title: Site Manager
Business unit: Project and Development Services
Reporting to: Construction Manager/Operations Manager/State Directo
Duties & responsibilities
As Site Manager you will be expected to contribute independently the tasks below. This means as a Site Manager you demonstrate a high familiarity with the subject matter and are able to produce these deliverables with little guidance from senior team members. Site Managers are also able to validate and oversee deliverables produced by Site Supervisors. It is expected that a site manager is able to manage multiple projects at times.
As the Site Manager you are expected to take total responsibility for the effective management of all site based activities throughout the construction and defects phases of a project (or projects) including the management of Safety, Environmental, Programme, Quality, Materials Handling and Overall Site Coordination Activities.. The role requires coordinating thought and leadership skills to encourage maximum contributions of all participants in the project and focus these to maximise outcomes for all stakeholders.

Manage the coordination of all site activities including materials handling, trade contractors and suppliers.

Manage Industrial Relations on site and engage with Unions and Union representatives in a professional manner.

Assist project team in analysing buildability issues in respect to design development.

Participate in the establishment a detailed overall project programme that sets clear milestones and objectives to ensure successful project delivery.
- Assist in the preparation of PCG (Project Control Group) reports and attend PCG meetings as required.

Chair weekly project site meetings as required.

Ensure timely issuance of meeting minutes and agendas for meetings chaired.

Participate in Request for Proposal preparation, scope writing and tendering, as required.

Participate in value engineering, buildability analysis, and assist in critically reviewing the design and documentation to minimize risk and maximize outcomes as required.

Providing commentary on variations as required..

Implementing and maintaining JLL Health Safety and Environmental systems and take responsibility for areas under your direction.

Ensure attention to details on all deliverables and the overall quality of final products positively represents JLL.

Participate in the development and maintain Safety and Environmental Plans for the project.

Coordinate and manage the timely close out of all defects.

Maintain site records as per JLL’s management systems and legislative requirements.

Be the leader of Safety on site and manage compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation, codes of practice and site specific requirements.

Develop and lead consultative arrangements on site.

Provide strategic support to management in project procurement processes

Strategically schedule project resources, effectively manage supplier relationships, and prioritise tasks to optimise operational efficiency

- Within each project, ensure an effective on site organisation structure for reporting, communication and working procedures, inclusive of sub-contractors.
- Work with Project Managers to assemble and effectively lead consultants, contractors and suppliers to achieve the best possible performance from all members of the project team.
- Take a proactive role in assisting the Project Manager to deliver a successful project (s).
- Represent the client’s best interests from inception to completion of the project.
- Maintaining a positive client relationship.
- Work with the project team to achieve the best possible performance from all members.
- Represent and promote the company throughout the project.
- Accurate and timely project reporting.
- Ensure repeat business from existing clients.
- Implement an appropriate quality control system on site.

- Ensure all incidents and Near Misses are reported in line with JLL’s requirements.
- Be an active participate in lessons learnt workshops.

- Develop relationships with other business lines with JLL.
- Where possible introduce opportunities to other business lines within Jones Lang LaSalle.
- Develop relationships with existing clients to increase the profile and exposure of Jones Lang LaSalle.
- Assist in the development of quality templates for use by others using Project Toolkit.
- Assist in external industry award nominations to promote the business within industry.

Key Skills
Employee specification:
- Trade qualification in building related discipline and at least 8 years' experience or a combination of formal education and at least 12 years' experience in related field.
- White card
- QBCC Site Supervisor License
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Must be able to meet the requirements for Working with Children Card (Blue Card)
