About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in petrol and diesel vehicles.
Inspecting, dismantling, repairing and replacing engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and braking components.
Performing scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, oil changes and engine tune-ups.
Using computerised diagnostic equipment and manufacturer service manuals to identify faults.
Reassembling and testing repaired vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Carrying out vehicle inspections and identifying repairs required to maintain roadworthy standards.
Maintaining accurate workshop records and complying with workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills and Experience Required

Applicants should have:

Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent) or at least three years of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Experience servicing and repairing petrol and diesel vehicles.
Knowledge of engine, transmission, steering, suspension and braking systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to producing high-quality workmanship and maintaining workplace safety standards.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
